Fulham Football Club has confirmed the signing of 27-year-old striker Carlos Vinicius from Portuguese giants Benfica in a deal worth £5 million.
Vinicius, who had a brief loan spell at Tottenham Hotspur during the 2020/21 season, expressed his delight at returning to the Premier League permanently.
"I'm very happy to be back in the Premier League and to be part of the Fulham family," Vinicius said. "I had a great experience in England before, and I'm excited for this new challenge."
Fulham manager Marco Silva believes Vinicius's experience and goalscoring ability will be a valuable asset to the team.
"He's a striker with great quality, and he has a proven track record at the highest level," Silva said. "He's also a good character and a hard worker, so I'm sure he'll fit in well here."
Vinicius is expected to make his debut for Fulham in their upcoming Premier League opener against Liverpool on August 6th.
His arrival at Craven Cottage marks a significant investment by Fulham, who are looking to establish themselves as a mid-table side this season after securing promotion from the Championship.
